Why does she need sponsorship?

Shwetha's father expired recently. The house, which the family used to stay in, was taken over by her relatives on account of ancestral loans. She is currently staying with maternal grandmother. She secured 549 marks out of 600 (91.5%) in X class studying at Progress High School, Warangal. She further secured 943/1000 (94.3%) marks in Intermediate studying at Sri Vikas College Warangal. She was exempted from paying fee by both the school and college due to her excellence in studies and financial condition.

As part of EAMCET (Engineering Entrance) counselling after Intermediate this year, she got a seat in SR college. She was unaware that SR college fee is on the higher side (Rs 65,000). Government reimburses fee only up to Rs 35,000, meaning that the rest of the fee should be born by the student. She took some hand loans and gold loans to pay the additional Rs 30,000.

She is also working part-time by providing home tuition. Again, this is another gem of a quality that you find rarely among students of these times and especially of her age.

In spite of all the difficulties, Shwetha has been working very hard and excelling in education at the same time. Sankalp Foundation always comes forward to provide assistance and guidance to such deserving students. As such, Sankalp Foundation requests you to come forward and assist her so that she can complete Engineering.

How much is the sponsorship amount and what does it cover?

Rs 20,000 is the sponsorship amount that covers a part of the differential College Fee.
